OU (The Open University)

The Open University (OU) is a "Distance Learning" university based in Milton Keynes in the UK.

For many of the courses that they offer, students are loaned equipment to help them in their studies. During the 1980s the equipment for some of their computer courses included a computer which they named HEKTOR (Home Experiment Kit compuTOR).

These kits had to be returned to the OU at the end of the study year.  Because of this they are very rare.
